 After moving back to Texas in 2008, it didn't take long for me to find a musical home. The first "gig" I played was an open mic night at Love and War in Plano, where I met regulars like Randy Hopper and John Murphy. Randy introduced me to the musical community, John started playing my music on his weekend show with KHYI 95.3 the Range, and I guess you could say it all started from there. Nowadays I'm thrilled to have an on-going relationship with Tye and Tory Phelps, Courtney and Dusty, and all the rest of the Love and War family. They've got a deliciously distinctive menu (I love me some wild boar quesadillas with a Dublin Dr Pepper), a down-home atmosphere, and a real respect for original Texas country music. I've always got a show on my schedule at one of the Love and War locations (Plano or Grapevine) and Lord willing I always will.
